Monthly 3rd Saturday Cleanup

Can you spare a couple hours a month to help us make our town sparkle? Of course, you can clean up whenever you want or even adopt an area close to home to keep clean … and you can also join us on the Third Saturdays Cleanup.

Check-in at El Sobrante Library on the Third Saturday of any given month and we’ll be there to get you teamed up and going. It’s a fun, free, local community-building event where anyone can participate just by deciding to show up.

It’s fun to work with other people who care about our home town.

Every month, we get together, pick target locations and fan out in teams. Meet at El Sobrante Public Library, 4191 Appian Way, at 10 AM, and return equipment at noon. Bring your own gear or borrow some of ours when you check in. See sidebar calendar for upcoming dates.

Or, you can pick your own spot and do it on your own schedule, of course. You don’t even have to limit yourself to Saturdays and can do it more often or less frequently – but the idea is that people from all over our community volunteer at the same time to clear out litter and illegal dumps and do it on a regular basis.

Of course, we really want to meet you and we recommend meeting up with this great group of people to volunteer a couple hours each month and clean up the streets and creeks of El Sobrante — you’re looking great, out picking up litter and feeling good about it.
